•       We operate three programs - each different - but all focused on making sure women and girls realize the importance of keeping abreast of technology and its relationship to the way we learn and earn, both now and in the future.  Our Girls Getting Wired initiative involves both advocacy and awareness campaigns and actual training events.  Through our partnership with Best Buy, women and girls can go into the Best Buy store on Winchester every third Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and receive training on using some of the technological gadgets and devices that are shaping the way we work, live, play and learn.  Our program for girls - The F.F.E.W. (Future’s Fashion Entrepreneurial Women) - engages girls in fashion-related activities to introduce careers and future opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Lastly, we publish Women of Style, Spirit and Success - The Magazine.  Our monthly e-publication is our way to connect our community and provide resources, information and inspiration.

•       Women of SSS is also a business partner of Constant Contact®.  We conduct introductory workshops on the benefits of e-mail marketing to business training providers and provide small group training on using the service to women and men in business. The Young Women’s Christian Association is a women’s membership movement nourished by its roots in the Christian faith and sustained by the richness of many beliefs and values.

The Memphis Sexual Assault Resource Center (MSARC) is a Shelby County agency committed to empowering victims of sexual assault and abuse. MSARC is committed to providing the best and most comprehensive services possible following an assault. These services are offered 24/7 and include forensic examinations, individual counseling and support groups, legal advocacy, community and professional education, and self-defense courses. All services are FREE.

Memphis Center for Reproductive Health is a private, non-profit health care clinic offering a wide range of reproductive health services for women and men, as well as education and outreach for the community. We encourage individuals to understand their bodies and the choices available to them and to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health. MCRH does not discriminate based on gender identity, race, age, sexual orientation, body size, religion, cultural heritage, or disability. As a volunteer you can raise awareness at local events or help put together safe sex packets. Along term opportunity would be volunteering as a patient advocate.

We need volunteers who can assist us with testing/outreach events after hours and on weekends as well as volunteers who can work during part of the 9:00 AM-5:00 PM work day to assist us with clinic and office work. Each prospective volunteer must fill out an application, and pass a background check and interview process.

The Women’s Foundation for a Greater Memphis is a grant-making agency that leverages the collective resources of donors to make a difference in the lives of women and girls. The foundation distributes grants to a diverse group of non-profits in the Memphis community.

Volunteers are able too work with the Development Director to call donors during Phon-a-thons, assist with special events, and help with day-to-day tasks.
